Which class is right for me?
Three questions, and you’ll know where you’ll be on the mat on Monday.
- 1Never trained before?Book the free trial class in BJJ Fundamentals (gi) or No-Gi Fundamentals. If you’d rather start in a fixed group, take the 6-Week Beginner Course on Thursday.
- 2Gi or no-gi?In the gi (kimono) the game is more technical and slower; no-gi is faster and closer to wrestling. With an annual membership you don’t have to choose – both are included.
- 3Already have experience?Colored belts go to BJJ Advanced and the All Levels classes, competitors also to the Competition Class on Fridays. Open mats on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday for everyone.

BJJ Classes Vienna:
FAQ
Which BJJ class in Vienna is right for beginners?
BJJ Fundamentals (gi, Monday and Wednesday 16:45) or No-Gi Fundamentals (Tuesday and Friday 19:15). Both are meant for white belts, and you can join anytime. If you want a fixed start date, take the 6-Week Beginner Course on Thursday.
Can I attend all classes?
Yes, with an annual or 6-month membership and with the monthly pass: all classes at your level and all open mats. The strength area is included in the annual membership. Kids and teens have their own memberships.
What do I need for my first class?
Sportswear without zippers, flip-flops for walking to the mat, and something to drink. We’ll lend you a gi for free. For no-gi, a rashguard or tight shirt and shorts without pockets are all you need.
How often per week should I train?
Two to three times a week helps beginners progress fastest. With 29 classes per week from Monday to Saturday, you’ll find times in the morning, at midday and in the evening.
Are there classes just for women or for kids?
Yes. BJJ Women runs on Fridays at 16:45, kids train in two age groups (ages 4 to 6 and 7 to 10), and teens ages 11 to 15 train three times a week. Parents are welcome at the trial class.
