BJJ Competition Training in Vienna:
Competition Class
BJJ competition training in Vienna, every Friday: competition-specific sparring, tournament scenarios against the clock and the mental preparation that makes the difference. This academy has produced two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champions, Bryan Thompson and Sascha Langer.
What you train in BJJ competition training in Vienna
In competition, it’s not about how many techniques you know, but how many work under pressure. That’s why the Competition Class is almost all sparring, structured like a tournament day.
- 01
Competition-specific sparring
Rounds at tournament length, with points, advantages and referee feedback.
- 02
Tournament scenarios
Holding a lead, attacking from behind, the last 30 seconds: the situations that decide matches.
- 03
Takedowns and guard pulling
How the match starts: grip fighting on the feet, pulling guard or throwing, scoring the first points.
- 04
Game planning
Define your A-game, have a plan B for the most common opponent types, build on your strengths.
- 05
Conditioning and toughness
Several rounds back to back, just like on tournament day, with a focus on breathing and pace.
- 06
Mental preparation
Use your nerves, plan your weight and nutrition, build a pre-match routine.
