What you learn in BJJ for beginners in Vienna

Fundamentals means no tricks, just the basics. Every class covers one basic position or concept, so you can join at any time and build your foundation week by week.

  1. 01

    Understand the basic positions

Guard, side control, mount and back control: where are you right now, and what’s your goal there?

  2. 02

    Move like a grappler

Shrimping, bridging, technical stand-ups and rolls: mobility and agility drills at the start of every class.

  3. 03

    Fall and get up safely

Breakfalls and first takedown principles, so you feel confident on your feet, too.

  4. 04

    Escapes and defense

Escape from mount and side control, spot chokes and joint locks early and defend them.

  5. 05

    Your first submissions

Armbar, kimura and rear naked choke: the classics, practiced slowly and with control.

  6. 06

    Positional sparring

Try what you’ve learned against light resistance, with clear rules. Tapping out ends every situation immediately.
